S'Mores are now available at International Palms Resort Orlando! What are S'Mores? S'Mores are thought to have gotten their name from frequent requests for "some more" whenever they were made. The first known recipe appeared in the 1927 Girl Scout hand book called "Tramping and Trailing with the Girl Scouts". Traditionally prepared around an open bonfire, this American Classic is available in kit form at International Palms for $3 (serves two) and can be prepared utilizing the resort's newest amenity - an enchanting fire table with cushioned seating pool-side. Wooden skewers are available for toasting a marshmallow which is then placed atop a graham cracker which has already been topped with half a Hershey bar. A second graham cracker is finally placed on top to create a sandwich, and after about five seconds the marshmallow has melted the chocolate and the S'More is ready to enjoy! National S'Mores Day is celebrated every year on August 10.
